In Moscow, the closed presentation of the documentary film dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Diana Arbenina, a famous Russian rock singer, took place today at the KION open-air cinema at Strelka. The film's director, Angelina Ashman, its executive producer, Igor Mishin (also the CEO of the online cinema KION), and the singer herself, the guitarist and leader of the band "Nochnye Snaypery," talked about their work on this film.
Diana Arbenina rarely invites outsiders to her home in the Moscow suburbs, except maybe to her home studio, located on the top floor, where she occasionally records with talented musicians. However, she made an exception for the first documentary film about herself, shot by a professional film crew. The full-length film "Arbenina" will show the audience one day in the life of the popular rock singer: meetings, rehearsals, training, taking care of her two children - Martha and Artyom (her son has already successfully tried himself as a musician, learning to play the bass guitar), and working on new songs. The goal of the film crew was to show how the artist lives beyond the stage and tours, in her ordinary, everyday life.
The film includes many interviews conducted by the director herself, as well as candid topics (the singer previously told the "RG" journalist that her mother, who worked as a school teacher, initially did not fully accept her daughter's creativity but then understood and became her best, understanding friend). The film also reveals little-known details of Diana Arbenina's life. For example, why the word "shame" is crossed out on one of her tattoos.
In addition, the artist's memories are presented parallel to one of her current days: from breakfast and morning exercises to the rehearsal space of the studio in Moscow, where Arbenina prepares for the anniversary concert, which will take place on July 7th at the Luzhniki Sports Arena.
