Russian actor Boris Shcherbakov shares recovery update and return to work post-hospitalization.

Renowned Russian actor Boris Shcherbakov, 75, recently opened up about his health following his discharge from the hospital. The actor, who suffered a serious fall on a staircase in December 2023, sustained significant facial injuries and underwent surgery. Despite the ordeal, Shcherbakov assured fans that he is now feeling well and has resumed his professional activities.

Recovery and Return to Work

Shcherbakov was hospitalized after the accident, which left him with a fractured cheekbone but spared his teeth. By the end of December, his condition improved, and doctors allowed him to leave the hospital. In late January, the actor made his first stage appearance since the incident, performing in the play "Free Couple" alongside actress Masha Aronova in St. Petersburg.

"Thank God, everything is fine now. Right after the New Year, I fully returned to work," Shcherbakov shared. However, he admitted that he is not rushing back to film projects, calling this period a "break" and hoping it won't last long.

Concerns and Support

While colleagues and friends have expressed concern for his well-being, Shcherbakov remains optimistic about his health. He emphasized that he currently has no health issues and is focused on his theatrical performances.

This update comes shortly after actress Alisa Freindlich also spoke about her own health challenges, highlighting the pressures faced by veteran performers in the entertainment industry.
