The actor, who was touring with the troupe of the Vasilievsky Theater in St. Petersburg, was taken to the hospital in the night of May 30-31. According to the theater's press service, Itskov remains under medical supervision, but his condition is stable and his life is not in danger.

Itskov was scheduled to perform the role of Vasily Bessemyonov in the play "The Philistines" by Maxim Gorky.
