National Artist of Russia Yuri Itskov has been hospitalized in Omsk during his tour. The actor, who was touring with the troupe of the Vasilievsky Theater in St. Petersburg, was taken to the hospital in the night of May 30-31. According to the theater's press service, Itskov remains under medical supervision, but his condition is stable and his life is not in danger.
Itskov was scheduled to perform the role of Vasily Bessemyonov in the play "The Philistines" by Maxim Gorky. The performance has been replaced with another one, with a promise to bring back the original play to Omsk once the actor fully recovers. The details of Itskov's diagnosis have not been specified.
In Moscow, the body of actor Dmitry Lipinsky from the TV series "Quiet Flows the Don" has been found. The last series in which actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk appeared will not be released. The series, titled "Bailiffs," was filmed in 2017 and was supposed to be released in 2022, but it remains "in production" to this day.
