Famous Russian artist Mikhail Maltsev passed away at the age of 75, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the world of puppetry.

Zasluzhennyj Artist of Russia Mikhail Maltsev has died at the age of 75. Maltsev, who was born on June 4, 1950, had been associated with the Voronezh Puppet Theater "Shut" named after V. Vol'khovskij for over forty years. He was known as a master of his craft and played numerous roles in both children's and adult productions. Maltsev was hailed as a reliable partner, a kind-hearted and responsive person, and also pursued a career in film. In 2003, he was awarded the title of Zasluzhennyj Artist of the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, in Estonia, People's Artist of the USSR Margarita Voites passed away at the age of 87. Born in Moscow in 1936, she spent her childhood in Novosibirsk. After moving to Tallinn, she made her debut on the stage and entered the conservatory. One of her most famous roles was the lead in Gaetano Donizetti's opera "Lucia di Lammermoor".
